Here's what you do:
- Bring your non-cycling (or semi-cycling) friends to a cycling event. The kind with lots of cyclists in lycra.
- Explain little bits and pieces of what's going on, how it fits into the world of cycling, etc.
- At some point, casually add, "...And none of these people are wearing underwear."
Trust me on this one. It works.
This morning's ride stats:
16.8 MPH (Hey! Found the big ring again! Whaddaya know!)
This morning's 'how was the ride' conversation:
Me: Hot enough for ya?
Jens: Yeah -- it's only like 77 out there, but the air is ... heavy. How was your ride?
Jens: No kidding! It was like pushing through water.
Me: Well, at least we'll be well-prepared for the Underwater Cycling event at this year's Improbable Games.
