(In)Cautiously Optimistic

The ol' leg has been feeling steadily better over the past two days. At this point, it's a little painful (a lot painful when I whack the bruised parts on something), but things are definitely on the mend. I still have a 'Sta-Puft Marshmallow Foot,' but even that is less than it was. Likewise, the pain when I inevitably hyperextend my knee in my sleep is much more tolerable, and I really slept well last night for the first time since The Day of the Stupid Decisions.

I'm feeling confident about being able to get back on the bike (for short rides) early this coming week. Swift is in the shop, so I'm planning to spend some quality time with the Allez.

That's it for now. My yearly performance review is coming up later today, so I'm a tad nervous. Not that I think I'm going to hear anything I don't arleady know — if anything, I judge myself by a harsher standard than my employer does — but somehow I'm nervous about it anyway.
